Homeschool Enrichment Programs

At the PSPCA, we recognize the importance of providing social learning situations for students who are homeschooled.  Programs always focus on humane education, but also include Engineering Design Challenges, Scientific Exploration, and Art Classes- just to name a few.

Upcoming Homeschool Programs:

image002In Our Art’s Desire – December 8 – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. –  Ages 5 to 9

Homeschool children ages 5 to 9 will get to participate in an Art class taught by a professional artist from In Our Arts Desire.  The Art class will last approximately 60 min. and includes all supplies to paint an 8 x 10 portrait depicting an animal or aspect of humane education.

While the portraits dry, students will be given a tour of the facility, admission into the petting zoo w/ feed, and time with the education pets!  $20 per student – e-mail swee@peninsulaspca.org to register.

Simple Machines (Grades 3-6) Wednesday, December 16,  10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

What are simple machines? Learn the different types of simple machines and their uses. Is a catapult a simple machine? Build a mousetrap powered car that could tow something to get the attention of your dog or cat! $12 per student – e-mail swee@peninsulaspca.org to register.
