We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with our annual fundraiser gala, the Fur Ball! on February 4 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
When you join our volunteer team, you can make a difference by fostering our animals, spending one-on-one time with them, taking them out to community events, and matching potential adopters with their pet companions.
Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of 4 volunteer hours every month.
We recommend that volunteers have an up-to-date tetanus vaccination, although it is not required.
We encourage all qualified volunteers to apply; unfortunately we are unable to accept court ordered community service requests at this time.
You must be at least 16 years of age. Our dog squad and web photographer volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Opportunities are available for parent and child volunteer teams; the child must be a minimum of 13 years of age and accompanied by a legal guardian at all times during volunteering.
Volunteer Program Fee:
1. $15 fee for individuals
2. $10 fee for minors (13-17)
3. $25 parent and child team
*The fee is non-refundable and helps us offset
the cost of the volunteer program. Cash or check preferred.
Volunteer candidates are asked to complete an application so we can learn more about you, your skills and specific interests you may have. Once received, we will review your application and a staff member will contact you to discuss your application.
Submit your volunteer application by completing our on-line form
Once you are selected to join our volunteer program, you will be given a log-in user name and temporary password for our volunteer scheduling system. This is how you will enter your preferred schedule, sign up for openings, and track your volunteer hours.
