SUMMARY:Fur Ball
DESCRIPTION:The Peninsula SPCA’s 17th annual Fur Ball gala raised over $390\,000 for the pets and programs of the Peninsula SPCA! Held on March 8th\, 2025 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center\, this year’s event\, Nashville Nights\, had over 400 guests with nearly 30 pets joining the celebration. \nGuests enjoyed browsing silent auction items during cocktail hour and getting their portraits taken by Bob Harper Photography. Four-legged guests were treated to tasty treats at the Muttini Bar\, made possible by Carol & Frank\, Pearson Toyota\, Towne Bank\, Old Point\, VCA Animal Hospital\, and Care-a-Lot\, before strutting their stuff in the pet parade. The live auction was also a highlight of the night with our first feline\, Samson\, winning 2026 Fur Ball Spokespet! The Peninsula SPCA is also very grateful for the generosity of Cathy McQuade who donated $200\,000 towards our Cozy Kennel Fund! This will be another Fur Ball to remember\, and the local band\, Snackbar Jones\, had guests dancing the night away in celebration. \nThe 17th annual Fur Ball was made possible by community partners who support the important work of the Peninsula SPCA.
