DESCRIPTION:Give Local 757 = Giving hope & giving pets a new life!   We have a big goal of raising $10\,000 to fund our much needed transport van. Our small transport van has reached the final stages of its life. It is no longer reliable beyond short trips.   We use this vehicle daily to pick up vital donations\, for transporting at-risk pets from other shelters and rescues\, transport sick pets for emergency medical care and to take shelter animals to outreach events and enrichment outings. \nLast year nearly HALF of the total pets we took in came to us from another shelter or rescue. That’s almost 500 pets that got the second chance they deserved! Thanks to our life-changing transfer partnerships\, we were able to free up valuable space at smaller\, rural shelters and in turn find some amazing pets forever homes. We know we want to do MORE life-changing transfer partnerships. With the proper tools\, equipment and your help\, when organizations have an emergency need we can answer the call! The need for us to provide our own transportation for pets in need is even greater due to COVID as volunteers are able to help less. These transfer programs save lives! Shelters and rescue around the country work together to transport pets from shelters that have reached their capacity\, to shelters like the Peninsula SPCA.  We have helped hundreds of animals in recent years through partnerships with other organizations like the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).  These partnerships are the foundation for accomplishing our common goal – to save as many lives as possible.  \n  \nDONATE HERE – https://www.givelocal757.org/organizations/peninsula-spca
