Peninsula SPCA’s 9th Annual Fur Ball Gala Fundraiser
April 16, 2016 – 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
It’s red carpet time! On Saturday, April 16, join us for the Peninsula SPCA’s 9th Annual Fur Ball Gala, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
You and your pet will be star struck as we host an amazing tribute to Tinseltown with this year’s theme: HOLLYWOOF!
With our first successful year as an Adoption Guarantee shelter and Humane Education Center complete, we all feel like movie stars! We’ll be celebrating with an evening of cocktails, fine dining, dancing to the music of Tidewater Drive, spectacular silent and live auctions and raffle, and of course, our signature red carpet Pet Parade where you and your pet will get the “celebrity treatment” you deserve!
Not to be left out, our canine friends will receive pet pampering at its finest, complete with a special showcase during the Red Carpet Parade (the night’s main attraction!) and access to our special “Mutt-ini Bar!” Make sure to attend and get the “celebrity treatment” you and your pet deserve.
To help raise funds, guests may participate in the Fur Ball’s live and silent auctions and raffle. Our auctioneer will be G. Amory LeCuyer from Hampton House Auctions. In the past, contributors have won prizes such as a vacation to Africa, a trip to Disney World, and Bahamas escape. If you wish to give to the event auction, please contact Megan Steele, PSPCA Marketing and Special Events Manager, at 757-595-1399 ext: 109.
This year we are striving to exceed $250,000 to support the Peninsula SPCA’s Adoption Guarantee Shelter, Humane Education Center and PSPCA Veterinary Clinic. Sponsorship packages range from $500 to $50,000. If you are interested in helping to save the lives of animals, visit our sponsorship opportunities.
Since our transition to a “no-kill” shelter, we have been able to devote more time and resources to finding forever homes for the animals in our care, and to providing educational opportunities for the residents of the Peninsula. In the past year, we expanded our humane education offerings and launched our new walk-in Veterinary Clinic for preventative healthcare. Our organization receives no public funding, and we are counting on you, the leaders and businesses of the community, to partner with us to keep the benefit of an adoption-guarantee shelter alive for our citizens and our pets.
Tickets to the event are $135 per person and $75 per pet. Tickets will go on sale March 1. Purchase your tickets here.
