The PSPCA no longer holds stray animals picked up by citizens or Animal Control officers. Stray animals are housed at the new Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter located at 5843 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News. The telephone number for the Regional Shelter is (757) 933-8900.
