Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving following Back Friday and Cyber Monday, is an opportunity for the community to take a moment from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season to celebrate generosity and the gift of giving back.

The Peninsula SPCA saves over 1,000 pets in our community every year by providing shelter, medical care, and finding forever homes. Adoption fees only cover a small portion of these costs when caring for our shelter pets, with medical care being by far the largest expense we face. In fact, the Peninsula SPCA spends more than $100,000 on medical care for shelter pets every year. This year especially, the Peninsula SPCA spent an additional $20,000 on testing and treatments when canine influenza closed our kennels for over 4 months. For Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your help to raise funds to cover the medical care expenses we are facing.

This year on Giving Tuesday, we are asking for your help to provide much needed medical care to pets who come to us in need. ​​​​​​We are committed to the health and happiness of all animals that come to the Peninsula SPCA, and we need your help to continue to provide this level of care. This is why we are excited to announce that all donations made for Giving Tuesday will be MATCHED, which means a $50 donation will automatically become $100!
