Giving Tuesday 2021

After Black Friday and Cyber Monday there’s:

November 30, 2021 – A Global Day of Giving

Donate Now!

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving.  Giving Tuesday follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday and this year is on Tuesday, November 30.  It’s an opportunity for the community to take a moment in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season to celebrate generosity and the gift of giving back.

Each year, the Peninsula SPCA saves nearly 1,000 pets in our community by taking them into shelter, providing medical care and finding them forever homes.   Adoption fees only cover a small portion of care for our shelter pets.  Medical care is by far the largest expense and can range from vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries to preventative care, medications for illness, prescription foods, special needs surgeries, heartworm treatments, and even visits to veterinary specialistsIn fact, the Peninsula SPCA spends approximately $100,000 on medical care for shelter pets each year.

This year on Giving Tuesday we are asking for your help to provide much needed medical care for pets who come to us in need.  Pets who need vaccinations and medication.  Dogs who are heartworm positive and need treatment.  Pets who need to be spayed or neutered so that they don’t contribute to our community’s pet population.  And pets who have serious, but treatable, medical conditions that require surgery or long-term care.

When a pet comes to the Peninsula SPCA we are committed to their health and happiness.  But we need your help to continue to provide this level of care.

$15 provides a rabies vaccine for a shelter pet

$30 provides vaccinations for a cat when it arrives at Peninsula SPCA

$50 provides vaccinations for a dog when it arrives at Peninsula SPCA

$75 covers bloodwork for a senior shelter pet who may have a medical condition

$100 provides a spay or neuter for a shelter cat or dog

$250 treats one dog who has tested positive for heartworms

$500 helps save a life by providing a specialty surgery for a shelter pet suffering a life-threatening or chronic condition

Your donation can save a life!  And this year, your Giving Tuesday donation will make even more of an impact in our community with a matching grant from the Kaz Vision & Laser Center.  Donations made on Giving Tuesday will be matched dollar for dollar (up to $10,000)!  That means a $50 donation can provide $100 worth of care.

As our special thank you, gifts of $75 or more will receive a complimentary Peninsula SPCA 2022 calendar (while supplies last).

Even the smallest gift can make a huge difference in an animal’s life!
