What:
Barktoberfest (formerly Paws for a Cause) is the Peninsula SPCA’s annual fundraiser to benefit homeless animals! This year’s event will take on a new look and feel as we embrace (hopefully) cooler weather with a Barktoberfest fall festival in October! This family-friendly event will include rescues, vendors, exhibitors, and community partners, and of course, our annual dog walk!
And, new this year, will be some fun fall activities, live music and a craft-brew beer garden! And as always, all proceeds will benefit the animals and programs of the Peninsula SPCA.
Although festival goers do not need to participate in the dog walk to attend, it’s a fun thing to do! Dog walkers must register in advance and we ask that they fundraise prior to the event. This will ensure that the Peninsula SPCA will be able to continue to help animals in need.
When:
Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where:
The festival is located in the Mariners’ Museum Park, Williams Fields, on Boundary Road across from Warwick High School. Parking will be on-site at Williams Field. Overflow parking will be in Warwick Lot along Warwick Blvd. Guests and their pups can enjoy a hayride to and from the parking areas. All handicap and vendor parking will be reserved in the Williams Field area.
