Calling all costume wearing critters and their friends! October is finally here!
HOW TO ENTER:
Photo entries must be submitted by midnight October 17, 2020
All entries must include at least one jpg/tiff/png photo and the below information must be emailed to: photos@peninsulaspca.org Incomplete entries will not be considered.
1. Your Pet’s Name.
2. Your First and Last Name.
3. Your Phone Number.
4. Tell us a little about your pet!
Online voting on our Facebook page will begin Monday, October 19, 2020 and will end at 11pm on Friday, October 30, 2020. Winners will be announced October 31st.
JUDGING:
All entries will be judged by PSPCA appointed judges, based on the following criteria: Originality (25%); Creativity (50%); and Presentation (25%). In the event of a tie, an additional “tie-breaker” judge will determine the Winner from among all such tied entries using the judging criteria above.
PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE:
Best in Show: As decided on by our panel of judges
Pets & People: Photo should include a pet(s) and a person(s). Bonus if both are looking at the camera.
People’s Choice: As decided on by the number of “likes & hearts” on our Facebook page.
Prize package values range from $50 – $150.
RULES:
By entering, Entrant warrants that the photo is original and does not infringe on third party rights. Entrant also agrees that his or her photo may be posted online. Obscene, lewd or cruel entries where animals appear in distress will not be considered. Photos will appear on our Facebook page and other social media, and may be used in our newsletter and website.
Winners will be contacted by phone and email by November 2, 2020 and will need to pick up their prize package at the Peninsula SPCA – 523 J. Clyde Morris Blvd, Newport News, VA 23601 – by November 14, 2020.
